How to maintain your kids ride on battery
Common questions we get at RiiRoo are about battery care for ride-ons, like "Do I need to charge it now?" or "Should I remove the batteries when not in use?"
When you receive a battery-operated ride-on from us, the battery is always disconnected to prevent depletion. Ride-ons use lead acid batteries, similar to car batteries, which can die if not used or charged for 2-3 weeks.
You don't need to charge the battery if you won't be using the item for 2-3 weeks or longer; simply disconnect it upon receipt. Alternatively, charge it every 2 weeks to maintain battery health.
For longevity, fully charge before each use and avoid overcharging or letting the battery fully deplete. If the ride-on slows down, it's time to recharge.
