# My Quad only works in forward OR reverse

If the Quad only works in forward OR reverse then it could mean that the forward/reverse switch is disconnected or faulty.

The easiest way to verify this is simply to move your switch or gearstick and check the wires. If there are screws around the switch remove these however if there is not it will mean the switch is a clip-in so you can use a thin flat head screwdriver to gently remove it from the outline of the switch.

If everything is connected to fully verify that the switch is faulty you can swap the wires over, if the opposite direction then works it will confirm that part of the switch is faulty.
